About Me
My name is Cheryl-Ann Madeira. I have been an educator for over 25 years as a science teacher, researcher and administrator. My main research focus is in teacher learning and professional development. How teachers learn will have a significant impact on the adoption of innovative practices, design and implementation of curricula, and ultimately on student learning.
A teacher’s journey can be a singular enterprise resulting in limited learning opportunities for professional growth. However, teachers that engage in reflective practices and participate in community exchange develop new understandings about innovative positive learning environments for students.
